Notifications
The appliance records significant events - such as configuration changes, licensing messages and service warnings or errors - as notifications. The Notifications page provides a single place to review, filter, search and manage these events.
A bell icon is displayed in the top navigation bar on every page. The number next to it indicates how many notifications are currently held on the appliance, and clicking the icon opens the Notifications page.
To view the notifications, using the WebUI, navigate to Notifications:
Each notification is listed on its own row, showing the following:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
(Severity) |
An icon or badge to the left of the message indicates the notification’s severity - Error, Warning, Success or Info. Licensing notifications are shown with a BETA badge. |
Notification |
The notification message. Long messages are truncated; the full text can be seen by filtering or searching (see below). |
Date |
The date and time the notification was raised, in dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss format. |
Many notifications are actionable: clicking a notification navigates directly to the relevant configuration page. For example, clicking a "The configuration of the following services has been changed" notification opens Maintenance > System services, pre-filtered to the affected services so that the pending changes can be applied.
The total number of notifications, and the number currently selected, is shown at the bottom left of the list (for example, Selected: 0 / 2 total). The list can be exported by clicking the Download CSV link at the bottom right.
